Question by bambee517: What is the name of a short story about a roach that is found in a peach?
I read a short story years ago about a little girl who is spending a day with her father and finds a roach (or some other type of insect) in a piece of fruit, possibly a peach. She is told by the father that the insect has a name, and the father tells her to treat the insect kindly. The name of the story is the name the man gives the insect, I think, and I seem to remember it was originally French. Has anyone heard of this story?

Question by A L E X!!!: When using roach bombs, should I make sure clothing in our closets is covered?
We live in a complex and our next door neighbors moved, so we've been seeing a bunch of roaches come our way, it's ridiculous. My parents have tried a bunch of stuff, but there's too many of them. Now they're desperate and want to use four roach bombs in our home. The cans instruct us to open cabinets and closets, so, do I need to cover my clothing so that the spray doesn't get on it?

it says on most bombs that it doesnt harm clothes so it should be ok. u can cover it if u still have doubts...just to be safe

Question by Geckolover: How do I get a gecko out of a sticky roach trap without killing it?
We use sticky roach traps to fight an insect problem, but a gecko has become stuck in one of the traps. He is a helper to fight the insect problem, so I want to try to get him out before he dies. Is there something that will loosen the adhesive so he won't be hurt? I'm afraid to tear his skin, since he's already weak.

you could try to gently remove his appendages from the adhesive, or rush him to a vet to help you. I'm not sure the adhesive will tear his skin, but if it does, he can rebuild that. starvation, he can't win. good luck to you and the critter.
