LOL ... a cleaver (as in an axe) sounds one way! I guess that it's a neighborhood problem, though. I have heard that a model of a hawk suspended from a wire will scare them off. You might need to string a wire between two tall trees, or something (or a tall pole like a TV arial, maybe). Your 'hawk' should move in the wind, though.

Maybe a model hawk/eagle on the roof instead of an owl would work ... but I think they get used to a fixed thing - it should move.
References :
Buy a pellet gun and shoot the little sods. But if you don,t want to get done by the RSPCA go to your local pest control department and they will come round a spray your roof and for some reason the pigeons don,t come back
References :
If you intend to get the job done on your own, stop them first from multiplying. They multiply fast.

Find a way to climb up safely to their nests and get rid of the eggs, eat them (they're good for health)- or destroy them or hand over to someone who's ready to eat them, if you aren't going to.

Install nets - you'd get them at any store that sells pet supplies or a hardware store close to you. They're easy to catch - once you trap them you can again either consume them or get rid of them far away from your own house (they can find their way back otherwise).

Scaring them with recorded gunshots etc will help getting rid of them for a brief period. Not permanently.

Cats will be effective too, but you will have a tough time cleaning the pigeon droppings and the cat's kill (you never know where the cat's going to stash the booty,eh!).
References :
Hi, Yes, I checked your answers already and you have the answer already -- someone nearby is feeding them. I used to go to a Jack-in-the-Box drive thru that had a little patio and it was fun to feed the pigeons a scrap of your hot dog bun. But, it got to be ridiculous the amount of pigeons the place attracted. It wasn't the hot dog buns -- someone was scattering seed for them on the parking lot of the Jon's market. Now, there are still pigeons there but not nearly as many.
References :
real life experience

Put one of those electronic pest ultrasonic devices in the attic.

Birds are very easily annoyed.

Make sore they are not feeding anywhere around the building.
You can also get watch-owl with motion detector built in!
It flaps and hoots when something enters the "zone" like a motion sensor light!
