GETTING HELP TREATMENT FOR HEAD LICE

LICE ARE. They feed more than once a day. These lice are highly contagious. There were crusades to put racial groups that may be of grave threat of carrying these infections into quarantine. The head lice and body lice look almost the same. The head lice can be seen on the hairs of the head, the body lice on clothes, and pubic lice on hairs near the groin. The head lice, also known as "pediculosis", can be transferred through head-to-head connection with the person infested.

BEHAVIOR OF LICEPeople who are infested are often times called "lousy". Some lice can be transferred from clothing or other paraphernalia of the person infested if they get into contact with it. Only those inseminated eggs by the female will be hatched. It looks reddish-brown in color after feeding but normally grayish white, while the nits have clear or white color. The eggs are put together by a sticky liquid produced by the louse.

LICE HISTORYSo far, the head-to-head contact is the most familiar means of spreading head lice. This lineage variety of information holds up the origin of Clade B lice from North America. Approximately 6-12 million public, mostly children, are given treatment every year for head lice in the United States. Caucasians are normally attacked than other cultural factions.

SYMPTOMS AND DIAGNOSISSeveral people claimed that they are infested even they were checked up by experienced doctors who cannot find any signs of lice infestation. But if neglected, infection will occur. These persons with figments of their imagination should be provided with extra concern and value if invited for counseling. It cannot be considered as a threat to the public as a health problem. These incidents can be very hard to handle because the person afflicted is usually discharged as being unsteady. This is the best way to become aware of having a live louse on your hair.

TREATMENTSubstances that terminate adult and nymphs called "lousicides"; others that kill growing embryo inside the egg are called "ovicides". It will definitely exterminate the lice but the itching may only stop for a couple of days or more. He will ask you to repeat the treatment in a week or two just to make sure that there are no more nits left behind. There's no need to spend so much in treating head lice because they do not live long enough after being removed from the scalp. If possible, disinfect the surroundings for head lice.

THESE ARE THE ESSENTIAL WAYS TO REMOVE LICE AND NITS AND TO KEEP THEM FROM COMING BACK:Any child with lice should stay at home to keep him/her from spreading the lice. Massaging the hair and leaving the mayonnaise for as long as possible then simply comb out the nits

Blow dry the hair, the heat can eliminate the lice and nits. Inform the school about lice thus they can perform a random check up of all the children. Consider treating the head lice if there are possible nits or eggs detected. Hence specialists noted that:A lot of health care representatives and ordinary individuals over-diagnose the infestation most of the time

Inactively infested children are quarantine as frequently as the actively infested children

Over application of long-established pediculicides and substitute forms of treatments made by the infested believer

In attempts of getting rid of the lice, these are the things you need and not do:

Do not hair dry the child's hair once it is treated. To prove the identification of these objects, you may submit samples of collected lice and their eggs to an experienced doctor or entomologist so they can thoroughly experiment on these insects. If necessary, it may be thrown away.

PREVENTIONThese lice really are not easy to bring to an end. For us to avoid another infestation the child's hair should be treated with a few drops of rosemary oil solution daily before he or she goes to school. Obtaining these lice can be very embarrassing, but it doesn't make you look unclean. Always check the child's head using a nit comb. Look for photos of lice and nits to know what you are dealing with.

Ok well first take fleas seriously. 1 flea can lay 50+ eggs a day, everyday. Fleas can give your pets worms too, by chewing their skin and ingesting the flea. Topical meds don't really work. Front-line, k9, all those are a temp relief. You need a pill from the vet. You wont even have to take your pet in. Just stop in and ask for a pill to treat fleas. Most vets will sell you the pills. Theres one called Capstar. (stop in a vets and ask for it) It works wonders. Treat your pet with capstar, put em' in a room for bout an hour. Be prepared to clean up dead fleas from that room. (small room is best for the hr.) Meanwhile Home Depot sells a great product called Enforcer, Flea Spray For Homes. Its a large gal size red bottle with spray nozzle. Spray everything. Behind and under furniture, rugs, pet areas, wall trim, curtains, hardwood..I mean everything! Alternative..you could bomb the home but it requires much cleaning of chemical after wards, and you would have to leave for the day. The Spray is better, you can stay in your home and handle things sooner than bombing.
After you spray..should take at least an hr to get everything, go to room where pet is, let pet out and treat that room. I forget how long after treatment before you can vacuum and mop floors but it will tell you on bottle. Good Luck!

Fleas!!!!!!!!!?

Question by Mel_Luc: Fleas!!!!!!!!!?
We just moved and I found fleas in my home! we don't have pets but the people who lived here before us had a dog. What do I do. Yuck! Help!
Someone told me that fleas need a cat or dog host to lay eggs and I don't have that so all I need to do is fog for adult fleas, is that true?
Tried the flea fog stuff last night, and have fleas this morning. Going crazy think i'm gonna try the boric acid and salt now.
Called my friends vet and asked what to do he said the boric acid & salt would not work and found it funny he sold me some spray (17 bucks a can) I got 3 cans said this would kill the adults but not the eggs so in 10 days I would have to spray again. So we will see. For 50 bucks this had better work!!!
Used said spray, still have found several live fleas. At least the numbers are down. Still going crazy. Thinking about the money spent and the dumb things wount just die!!!!
Half of my house is carpet the other is either tile or hard wood. I can't aford to get new carpet right now. I have used spray again because found four fleas on my foot this morning. Still going crazy going to try a new spray sold at walmart that I have been told worked. I think I have some mutation of normal fleas that live for ever and can't die!!!!!!
Gave up called exterminator!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not all cats are allergic to fleas. Some of them can clearly coexist with the whole horde of fleas on their coat with no apparent ill effect. Give them a little time though, and they can quickly become anemic from the bloodsucking tendency that fleas exhibit. On the other hand, it isn't hard to find a cat that is allergic to fleas - it can be one of the most common allergies out there. As hard as you try as a cat owner though, it can be hard to find any fleas on your pet's coat even as your cat clearly suffers- cats keep grooming themselves and they can quickly take away any sign of fleas right off there. For a cat that is truly allergic to fleas, it can take no more than a single bite of a flea to set off a terrible reaction - a reaction that can bring on all kinds attendant infections with it. A cat that is allergic to flea saliva can scratch its skin raw - until it's scratched it's fur right off. When it does this, it can quickly contract flea allergy dermatitis, a disease that can spread all over the cat's body much to its consternation.

How do you know that your cat has a case of flea allergy dermatitis? You know when your cat seems to be chewing the base of its tail right off, when it keeps chewing on its legs, and when there are ulcers at spots on its body where fleas have bitten it. The first thing that a vet will do when you take your cat in is to examine its coat thoroughly for any signs of flea infestation. Doctor will look for any patches of itchy or inflamed skin - patches that are filled with rashes. Once a diagnosis of flea allergy dermatitis is confirmed, the doctor will look to see if there is any secondary bacterial infection that the dermatitis has brought on. If there is any such infection, your cat will probably get a course of antibiotics to go. Flea allergy dermatitis can also bring on fungal infections that scratching brings on.

Sometimes, the doctor, to bring on quick release to the whole flea bite-and-scratch cycle, can prescribe something like prednisone, a steroidal medicine, to bring the cat a little quick relief from all the scratching. If your cat doesn't have flea infestation yet, you would do well to use flea powder and other flea control medication monthly to keep fleas away. But fleas love it when it's humid. If you happen to live in a coastal area near a large lake, you would probably want to be particularly aggressive with your flea prevention regime.
